Guilderland EMS

Guilderland EMS generally has classes beginning twice per year, January and August. These classes run approximately four months with class meetings and lab work two nights per week from 1800-2200 (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.

Courses are held at the Guilderland EMS Station 1, 200 Centre Blvd, Guilderland, NY, 12203.

The courses utilize Emergency: Care and Transport of the Sick and Injured.

Personal note: I took my course with Guilderland while working full time. Homework generally was 2-3 chapters per class session. The courses and labs included many providers from Guilderland EMS and they taught you to be an EMT and not simply to pass the test. I would highly recommend this program.

Guilderland EMS classes are announced on their Facebook Page. Classes usually are taught by 2025 REMO EMS Educator of the year Emily Peters.
